The pursuit of comfort is quintessentially American, but it may be stunting our spiritual and emotional lives. God does not call us to comfort, but to faithfulness, and sometimes discomfort is necessary to go where God is taking us.  

Dean Kittredge has served as a leader in theological education for decades. For eleven years, she was the Dean of the Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, where she expanded in the Seminary’s work to prepare the Church’s future leaders. In addition to her scholarly work, she also serves on The Church Pension Fund Board of Trustees.
