Transfigured Nights proudly presents award-winning organist Katelyn Emerson in her recital debut on the J. D. Godwin Organ – Richards, Fowkes & Co.’s Opus 17. The concert will end our fi fteenth anniversary celebration of the dedication of this world-class instrument. Ms. Emerson will play works by the Canadian composer Rachel Laurin, Georg Muff at, Vincent Lübeck, and Charles Tournemire. Her recital will conclude with Mozart’s Fantasia in F minor, K. 608. Ms. Emerson is the 2016 winner of the American Guild of Organists’ NYACOP competition, the semifi nal round of which was held on this instrument. Her inspiring playing then fulfi lls our long-held dream to have her return for a solo recital.
