In the midst of a rich Advent, I want to express gratitude to the Transfiguration Choir for a marvelous Advent Lessons and Carols last Sunday. Special thanks are owed to our friends at Church of the Ascension, who graciously and generously hosted us, and to our sisters and brothers at St. Thomas the Apostle, who also joined in the day. Everyone agreed that we should reunite again next year, as it felt good to be together in this holy season.
Take a few moments to scroll down to read about everything else happening in coming days. We’ll pray on the labyrinth this Sunday evening with the music of Taizé, and there are ways to share in our outreach efforts in coming weeks, too. Let’s keep Christ at the center of our swirling lives this season, for it is his birthday we will soon celebrate, and it is his return we anticipate in Advent, and it is his way, truth, and life that we strive to follow at Transfiguration.
