A celebration of twenty-two years of choral singing under the direction of Joel Martinson, the Transfi guration Choir, soloists and orchestra will present Joseph Haydn’s Missa Cellensis in C in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Hob. XXII:5. This rarely performed “cantata mass” composed in 1766, is a tour de force for strings, winds, chorus, and vocal soloists. The 55-voice Transfi guration Choir will be joined by a 24-piece orchestra with Elizabeth McGee, soprano, Erin Roth Thomas, alto, Eric Lewis, tenor, and Connor Lidell, bass. The concert will be the fi rst large choral and orchestral event of this type since Beethoven’s Mass in C in the Spring of 2009. Do not miss this festive celebration and a return to the resonance of our beautiful church. Transfi gured Nights presents this performance in thanks to you, our patrons, and to all of our supporters since we began in the Fall of 2004.
