This is the second class of our Advent formation class: The Saints of Advent: Patient & Brave & True. Today, our focus will be on Saintly Archetypes: Scottish Saints.
Around the world, Christians prepare for the birth of Christ in all sorts of wonderful ways, and many Advent and Christmas traditions also include special observances of the lives of the saints. Such holy days are deeply embedded in popular cultures and have become entangled with this season’s focus on the Incarnation. In this six-week class, we will learn about several of these saints and reflect on how their observances can prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ at Christmas.
