In 2006, because of our support of the Happy Homes School in South Africa, Archbishop Desmond Tutu visited Transfiguration as part of our Fiftieth Anniversary celebration.

It is fitting that we premier this episode of Sharing Our Story as we explore the spiritual gifts bestowed upon each of us. As Bishop Tutu pointed out so beautifully, "I have Gifts that you don't have. You have Gifts that I don't have. You can almost see God rubbing God's hands together and saying, 'Voila, that is why I created you different so you would know your need of one another.'"

We invite you to view Sharing Our Story – Bishop Tutu and contemplate the Spiritual Gifts bestowed upon your life. Think about how you can use them to bring the kingdom to all…all…all. And how your gifts coupled with those of your fellow sisters and brothers can transform the life of God's children.

If you have not already taken the Spiritual Gifts assessment in preparation for the events coming up this Fall, now is the perfect time to give it a go. It takes about 15 minutes…it's only 60 questions. You can pause when taking it and receive a link that will allow you to finish it at a later time saving the work that you have already done. Knowledge of your Spiritual Gifts is the beginning of sharing them.
