Easter at Transfiguration
Join us for the holiest of weeks, when we enter with joy upon the contemplation of those mighty acts that bring us to life and immortality. This is the center of our faith, the heart of our hope, the foundation of everything we believe. Devote yourself to the work of worship in Holy Week, and your life cannot help but be changed.
Easter Day
Sunday, April 5 | 9:00am & 11:15am
Special Children's Easter Eucharist | 9:30am
Butterfly Release | 10:30am
Easter Day is the ultimate Christian celebration. As the ancient song proclaims, "Christ has risen from the dead, trampling down death by death and bringing life to all in the tomb." Our worship focuses on the triumph of our Lord over sin, evil, and death. The music is grand, the church is adorned in splendor, and our hearts are lifted in thanksgiving to the one who rose so that we, too, may live. [View the Livestream at 9:00am]
Special Children's Easter Eucharist at 9:15am
In addition to our two principal services at 9:00am and 11:15am, we celebrate a special Eucharist for children in Roper Hall, featuring our youth choirs.
Butterfly Release
In the midst of the morning at 10:30am, we release butterflies – winged symbols of the resurrection – beneath the bell tower.
Transfiguration will once again give away the entirety of the collection at Easter, and this year's designated recipients are Aunt Bette's Community Pantry at St. Philip's School and Community Center in south Dallas, and La Colectiva NTX, an organization supporting migrants and their families facing detainment and deportation. Help us not only praise the Lord for the Resurrection but also witness to his resurrection power through acts of love!
