This is Part 6 of our multi-class Fall Formation offering, People of The Book, taught and facilitated by The Rev. Ted Clarkson.  New episodes will be available online each week through the end of the Fall Formation session.

The best way to understand what Episcopalians believe is to look at the words we pray. Not intended to be merely an introduction to the current Book of Common Prayer, this course will dive deeper and look at the profound ways the Prayer Book shapes our life together. It will explore some of the larger theological shifts that came about with the introduction of the ’79 Prayer Book, offer ways to use the Prayer Book outside of public worship, and demonstrate why your personal BCP should spend more time on your kitchen table than on a bookshelf. It will also look at the work currently being done around the church that seeks to chart the future of our shared prayer life.
