Becoming a Member
Christians are created in the waters of baptism, and the Episcopal Church joyfully baptizes all who desire to follow Christ. We believe that through baptism, we don't become a member of one congregation or denomination, but of the whole Church (with a big "C").
Already Baptized
If you've been baptized, all you need to do to become a member is let us that you desire it, and when and where you were baptized. It really is that easy. You might consider Confirmation, a rite in which the bishop lays hands on you and "confirms" your faith, but that is not required for membership.
Not Been Baptized
If you haven't been baptized, we would love to explore that sacrament with you! It is the beginning of a life of faith, including membership in the Church. To enquire about baptism, reach out to a member of the clergy our Minister for Congregational Life, Gabby Guion. We will likely invite you to The Way, our extensive program for those exploring the Christian faith. It's a program that creates space for questions, fosters friendships, and grows disciples.
Not Ready for Baptism
If you're not yet ready for baptism, you are still quite welcome here! You can attend services, classes, and programs, and you can volunteer to help in many ways. Regardless of where your exploration of the Christian faith leads, we are glad it led you here and we welcome you with open arms.
