The Episcopal Men's Fellowship: Fellowship, Service, and Stewardship
It is both an honor and a blessing to serve as the new President of the Episcopal Men's Fellowship at The Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such a dedicated group of men whose commitment to fellowship, service, and stewardship helps strengthen our parish community.
The Men's Fellowship exists for two primary purposes: building meaningful relationships among the men of our parish and supporting the ministries of Transfiguration through service and fundraising. Throughout the year, we gather monthly for fellowship events, typically hosted dinners featuring engaging speakers who share their expertise and experiences on a wide variety of interesting topics. These evenings provide an opportunity not only to learn something new, but also to deepen friendships and strengthen the bonds that connect us as a parish family.
While fellowship is an important part of who we are, service remains at the heart of our mission. Each June, the Men's Fellowship hosts our annual Auction & Fish Fry, one of the most anticipated and successful events in the life of our church. The event brings together parishioners, friends, and supporters for an evening of great food, fellowship, and generosity.
The impact of this event is remarkable. Last year, through the extraordinary generosity of our parish community, the Auction & Fish Fry raised more than $100,000 to support ministries within the church. This year, despite a challenging economic environment, we were blessed to raise more than $80,000. These funds directly support ministries that touch countless lives both within our parish and throughout the broader community.
As I begin this new role, I want to extend a personal invitation to every man in our parish. Whether you have been a member of Transfiguration for many years or are relatively new to our church family, there is a place for you in the Episcopal Men's Fellowship. Our group welcomes men of all ages and backgrounds who are interested in building friendships, serving others, and helping advance the mission of our church.
The friendships formed through the Men's Fellowship are meaningful, the opportunities to serve are rewarding, and the impact we make together is significant. I hope you will consider joining us at one of our upcoming gatherings and become part of this vibrant ministry.
Thank you to everyone who has supported the Men's Fellowship over the years. Together, we will continue to strengthen our parish, support its ministries, and Seek and Serve Christ in ALL Persons.
