Youth Faith Formation: Can I Ask That?: 8 Hard Questions About God & Faith.
Sundays beginning September 11 | 10:15am – 11:00am | Youth Center

For the fall semester of Youth Formation, we will be exploring the tough questions about God, the Bible, and Christianity using the book Can I Ask That?: 8 Hard Questions About God & Faith.
All Youth sixth grade and up are invited.
Designed for use in small groups, these sessions tackle the following tough questions:
- What is the Bible, anyway?
- Why does the Bible contradict itself?
- Can I be a Christian and believe in evolution?
- Does God discriminate against women?
- Is Jesus really the only way to God?
- What does the Bible say about being gay?
- Does God endorse violence?
- How can I follow a God who would let Christians do such bad things?
Student guidebooks will be given to each participant.
NOTE: Registrants can bring named guests
Crossover: Making Connections
Wednesdays beginning September 7 | 6:30pm – 8:00pm | Youth Center

A chance for Fig Youth to get together in fellowship to pray, play, sing, and talk together. A break from the stresses of the week and a chance to reset and make connections.
Special Lenten Crossover Activity
We will be creating poems, devotions, and prayers based on Lenten readings from The Saint John’s Bible. We will compile these writings and share with the congregation. Each week the Youth will return to the Youth Center after Compline to close out the evening with “goods” and “get betters.”
