Fall Formation Kick Off for All Ages | 10:15 a.m.

On Sunday, formation begins for all ages between Sunday morning services.

Children have two options for children’s faith formation – traditional or Montessori style classrooms – starting with preschool (age 4) through 5th grade. The curriculum for each age group is designed to provide children not only with knowledge, but also with a sense of belonging and of the love of God. Check out details online at www.transfiguration.net/education/childrens-formation and contact Cindy Hauser, Director of Children’s Ministries, with questions.

Youth gather in the Youth Center on Sunday mornings to engage their faith together. During the formation hour, they focus on how to investigate scripture, how to talk openly about faith in the world, and how to ask the hard questions that come with being a Christian. Classes are split between Jr. High (6th – 8th) and Sr. High (9th – 12th), and no registration is required. Questions? Contact Colin Hills, Director of Youth Ministries.

Adults will have four series of classes to engage this fall. The first module, Who We Were: The History of Transfiguration, runs from September 11 – 25, and will focus on the history of the parish as we prepare to celebrate our 60th anniversary this month. Join us next Sunday in Roper Hallfor Tracing Our Roots: The Life and Adventures of the First Episcopal Bishop of the Diocese of Dallas (1874-1924), lead by Pat Shaughnessy. Read more details about each week here and learn about the rest of the fall offerings in the 2016 program catalog (available in a printed version at the Welcome Desk).
