During Lent our weekend worship will utilize the traditional form of the Eucharist known as Rite I. The structure of the liturgy is nearly identical to the more familiar Rite II form, but the language is closer to that of the first prayer book created by Thomas Cranmer in 1549. Our hope is to utilize more of the richness of The Book of Common Prayer, and to embrace the beautiful language of prayer found only in Rite I during this holy season. If you would like to learn more about the language of worship, and how it has evolved and changed, you are invited to attend Dr. Paul Bradshaw’s class on Sunday mornings in Conference Room 1.

This week we will also enroll adult candidates for Easter Baptism at the 11:15 service. They are Tessa Samarripas, Kaitlan Angel, and Alfred Zeve. Please keep them in your prayers as they begin the final preparation for incorporation into Christ at the Easter Vigil.
