Jonathan Wilson-Hartgrove
writer, preacher, professor, and activist

We are obsessed with being safe and secure, but this has resulted in the mass arming of our society and the erection of boundaries (literal and figurative) between us and our neighbors. How are we making the feeling of safety into a god?

Mr. Wilson-Hartgrove is a writer, preacher, and activist who has worked to continue the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for more than two decades. He is the founder of School for Conversion, which builds community across the lines of social division, and the co-founder of the Rutba House, which brings Benedictine spirituality to life in hospitality and peacemaking. He also serves as the Assistant Director for Partnerships and Fellowships at Yale’s Center for Public Theology and Public Policy.

This is a special bonus class starting the week before Lent begins. At this gathering we will share Eucharist at 6:00pm and enjoy a spaghetti dinner hosted by the Youth of Transfiguration.
