On Sunday, March 3 you’re invited to join in Peace Post, a ministry of the Episcopal Peace Fellowship, to write to elected officials as part of our baptismal promise to “strive for justice and peace among all people.”  From 10:00 until 2:00, we’ll be gathered, talking and writing together in the lobby of the church office.  This week we’ll pay particular attention to:

  • US Humanitarian aid to the Palestinians, which has been cut off since Congress passed the Anti-Terrorism Clarification Act of 2018,
  • Continuing support of the United Nations REED program, which has been shown efficient and effective in reducing tropical deforestation, and
  • A proposed waiver rule change to SNAP, which would result in the loss of food benefits to 775,000 people, and is now briefly open for public comment.
Participants are always welcome to write about any issue which lies close to their hearts, and on which they’ve reflected as a follower of our Lord. Pens, paper, addresses and snacks are provided.
