This year, children from age three years old through 5th grade will act out the story of Christ’s birth at the 3:00 p.m. service on Christmas Eve. This pageant is being led by Mary Ann Morrow, a certified theatre teacher  for 29 years who recently became a member of Transfiguration. In order to assure all children have a part to play, we will assign roles based on age group.

  4-5 yrs.-Angels

  1st grade- Animals in stable

  2nd -3rd grade- Archangels

  4th -5th grade- Shepherds

The following speaking roles are available for children in 2nd through 5th grades.

  Joseph

All students who wish to be considered for a speaking role should memorize Gabriel’s line: “Don’t be afraid!  I bring you good news of great joy for you and for all!  This very night, the Savior you’ve been waiting for, the Messiah you’ve been longing for has been born!” At the first meeting on December 11, students will recite it for consideration for various roles.
