The Transfiguration Choir Prepares for England Tour 2013

On Tuesday morning, July 23, thirty-two choristers from the Transfiguration Choir, ten family members, assistant organist Glenn Stroh, and I will meet at London’s Heathrow airport to begin our England Tour 2013. This choir tour is really a pilgrimage to the home of Anglicanism – England – and to the country which has given us six centuries of rich choral music for our worship according to the Book of Common Prayer.

Welcome Interim Rector Fred Barber

The Vestry is excited to welcome our Interim Rector, Fr. J. Fred Barber. He is the former Rector of Trinity Episcopal Church in Fort Worth (1999 - 2011). During the recent division in the diocese of Fort Worth, Fr. Fred Barber led Trinity as it maintained its alliance to the National Church. Trinity's witness of loyalty to the National Church inspired other congregations in a difficult time. He was elected President of the Standing committee immediately after the special convention (held at Trinity).

I had no idea how often I would be reaching out, in order to bring my children up to know all that is just and true and good. Parenting is demanding on the best days, such as when a child has just taken their first steps or won an award.
