Thanks to everyone involved with a very successful Austin Street Center Thanksgiving meal. Last Thanksgiving Eve we provided a complete traditional Thanksgiving meal for 330+ grateful homeless residents of the Austin Street Center. A special thanks to the 35 parish volunteer servers for making the meal so successful. This was truly a parish wide outreach effort. Forty homemade pies for the meal were donated by the iParent group and Deborah Matthews. In addition, thank you to the Episcopal Men’s Fellowship, St. Hilda’s Guild and a number of parishioners who provided the financial support for the Thanksgiving meal. Without all of the support from the parish, funding and serving a complete Thanksgiving meal to a large number of the homeless residents of Austin Street Center would be impossible.
