The Women’s Evening Book Group will meet in the parlor at 7:00 on February 2 to discuss The Boys in the Boat: Nine Americans and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics by Daniel James Brown. This is an exciting and fast-paced report of how the University of Washington’s eight-oar crew team, during the Depression, worked together to defeat Hitler’s feared racers at the Olympics. All women are welcomed.
