The journey will feature four days visiting Happy Homes Pre-School in Justicia, which Transfiguration helped found nearly 15 years ago and continues to support through regular grants. It will also feature several days in Kruger National Park to observe wildlife and learn about conversation, and several days in Cape Town, to retrace the anti-apartheid movement and the Church’s central role in fighting injustice.

We will be led by Wonder Voyage Missions, a Dallas-based trip-operator that specializes in facilitating international pilgrimages. WV has led many successful pilgrimages to South Africa in the past. We will also benefit from the guidance and involvement of the deBruyn family, originally from South Africa, who have connected us with unique and important opportunities and organizations in the country.

This is a pilgrimage, not a vacation, and thus the focus will be on seeking God, building relationships, and experiencing the holiness of a new place. Travel and accommodations will be comfortable and safe, including four nights stay inside Kruger National Park. Travelers will be actively engaged every day, and days spent at Happy Homes will involve engagement with the young children.
