MINISTRIES |
LITURGICAL MINISTRIES Acolytes Girls and boys 8-18 and adults who assist the clergy at the Lord's Table. Altar Guild The Altar Guild is responsible for preparing for all liturgical services of the church. Lay Eucharistic Ministers Persons licensed by the bishop to administer the chalice at parish Eucharists. Lectors Adults and youth, selected by audition, who read the scripture lessons and Prayers of the People at Sunday Eucharists. Ministers of Ceremony Adults who assist the clergy at the Lord's Table. Ministry of Ushers Ushers have the unique assignment of assisting and serving all those in attendance at each service so that the liturgy may be celebrated without distraction or interruption. The Guild currently has about 80 members. They are organized into teams to serve the 7:30 a.m., 9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. services. Assignments are published quarterly. |
