Outreach Opportunity

Blanket Drive for Vogel Alcove

During Advent, Children’s Ministries are collecting blankets for Vogel Alcove, a childcare center that provides developmental, social, and health services to children from homeless families. Please bring donations to the designated baskets in the Gathering Space by Christmas Eve.


Advent Lessons & Carols

Sunday, December 8  |  5 p.m. in the Church*
Reflect on the themes of the Advent season through Scripture and song in this exquisite Transfiguration tradition. A reception follows in Roper Hall. *Childcare provided.

Saint Nicholas Visit

Sunday, December 8  |  10:15 a.m. during formation
The real-life Saint Nicholas lived during the 4th century in ancient Turkey. He used all his money to help children in need and people who were sick or poor. Children are invited to leave their shoes outside their formation class door on December 8 to receive a sweet treat from this beloved saint and families are invited to take pictures with Saint Nicholas in the Gathering Space between services. *Childcare provided.

Advent Taizé Service

Sunday, December 15  |  6 p.m. on the Labyrinth
Experience a contemplative evening of prayer and song and encounter the beauty of Transfiguration’s labyrinth by candlelight.

Christmas Pageant

Children and youth ages three years old through high school are invited to help act out the story of Christ’s birth at the 3 p.m. Eucharist on Christmas Eve. To participate or volunteer to help, please register in Realm. The first pageant meeting on December 8 will be a costume fitting for non-speaking roles and auditions for speaking roles. Christmas Flowers & Music

Memorial and thanksgiving gifts are invited to help provide beautiful flowers and glorious music for our Christmas services. Please return the enclosed envelope in the offering plate at any service or to the Church Office no later than Monday, December 9 by 12 p.m. You can also find envelopes in the pew boxes. This will ensure that your dedication will be included in our Christmas Eve bulletins.
