The feast of Candlemas will be celebrated with a service that includes Maria wallt zum Heiligtum by Johann Eccard, considered the quintessential anthem for Candlemas. The evening will also feature Lee Hoiby’s Magnificat and Nunc dimittis, Joel Martinson’s ethereal Here, a Light for treble voices, and James Buonemani’s Westminster Abbey Preces and Responses. The Rev. Ted Clarkson will offi ciate and the Rev. Nancy DeStefano will be the homilist.

On the last Thursday of each month, a group gathers at 7:00 p.m. to discuss a novel – or to watch and discuss a movie – in light of its meaning for our own lives, our life together, and our faithfulness to Christ.
