Jubilee Capital Campaign
Transfiguration is a vibrant and strong Christian community, ever faithful to its mission to seek and serve Christ in all persons. For over 50 years, this congregation has stepped out in faith to make its dreams and goals a reality. To accommodate the growing needs of our Parish, in 2006 we began a capital campaign for the south building expansion, installation of a new organ and established an outreach endowment. As of 2009, the first 3 phases of the campaign have been completed resulting in:

Parish Life Center
The south building expansion gave us new space for Children Formation classrooms, a larger Parlor, music rehearsal rooms and staff offices. View photos of the new Parish Life Center (south building).

Opus 17 Organ
To enhance our space and worship experience, the church gallery was redesigned to house the new Opus 17 organ, built by Richards, Fowkes & Co., and connected with the south building expansion to allow for wheelchair access to the choir loft. Outreach Endowment
The capital campaign set a goal of creating an outreach endowment of 10 percent of the funds raised to support our varied and growing Outreach Ministries. An initial contribution of $60,000 was made to fund the Habitat for Humanity Jubilee house, which we completed to celebrate our 50th Jubilee Anniversary. The Vestry has confirmed the goal for the outreach endowment and will phase future contributions over the duration of the campaign. View photos of the Jubilee Habitat House.

Future Phases
The Rector and Vestry decided to organize the project into phases, so to not over extend the Parish financially and to build as funds are available vs. taking on long term debt or cutting much needed support from our existing programs. Phase IV of the project will include a chapel, sacristy expansion and a multi-purpose space (small auditorium).

What can I do to help?
