This week, Transfiguration will host the Evangelism Matters Conference presented by Forward Movement and the Office of the Presiding Bishop. On Friday and Saturday over 400 attendees from around The Episcopal Church and across the country will gather in our buildings for plenaries, workshops, prayer, and meals as together they explore what being the Jesus Movement means in our world. On Friday, November 18 at 7:30 p.m. a Eucharist will be held for conference participants. Presiding Bishop Curry will preach and Bishop Sumner will preside. No seating will be available in the church due to the large number of registered attendees, however there will be overflow seating in the Gathering Space and Roper Hall if you’d like to experience the excitement and diversity of The Episcopal Church. Please note that parking will be very limited, so you are asked to carpool or park along Meadowcreek. If you didn’t register or volunteer for the conference, all plenaries (including one by Bishop Curry), the Eucharist and six workshops will be livestreamed and later available on video at www.evangelismmatters.org.
