VBS Sunday Celebration | 9:00 a.m.
Come support our youngest members at the 9:00 a.m. family service as we welcome our friends from St. Philip’s School and Community Center who are participating in VBS with us this year. Dr. Terry Flowers, the Executive Director / Headmaster of St. Philip’s will preach and VBS goers will share their favorite songs from the week. There will be a reception following as well as a special children’s project honoring Father’s Day.
Summer of Service Project | 10:00 a.m.
The Food Pantry will begin distribution this July. To enhance our ability to serve these families, we want to distribute toiletries in addition to food. Please bring donations next Sunday and help us sort them during the Coffee Hour in Roper Hall.
Order of Daughters of the King | 11:15 a.m.
All women interested in beginning the discernment process this summer are invited to participate in a short service – Beginning Preparation for Membership in the Order of the Daughters of the King – during the 11:15 service on Sunday. Transfiguration currently has seven Daughters and at least 30 more women who are in the process of membership.
Fr. Roper 80th Birthday Reception | 12:30 p.m.
Help us celebrate Rector Emeritus Terry Roper’s 80th birthday following the 11:15 service this week. Fr. Roper was the Rector of Transfiguration from 1976 – 1999. A reception will take place in Roper Hall.
