This Sunday we will gather together for Annual Meeting between the 9 and 11:15 services. I very much hope you’ll come. I will offer some words and symbols of gratitude to the many people who have led this church during the past year, and highlight many of the Fig’s ministry accomplishments. Additionally, we will install our new Vestry, hear from our Treasurer about the financial health of the parish, get a glimpse of the year ahead and the exciting things God may have in store, and celebrate this year’s Tau Cross and Crown Award recipients.

I know that meetings like this have a bad reputation (boring!!), but it is so important that we gather together every year to reflect on where we’ve been as well as prepare for what is yet to come. It is my strong hope that this meeting will possess spirit and joy and life, and help catapult us into new ways of seeking and serving Christ in all persons.

In anticipation of the meeting, you are invited to review the Annual Report by clicking here to download a pdf. It contains narrative summaries by many of our ministry leaders about what we’ve been up to this past year. Additionally, for you numbers people, you can review a summary of our end-of-year financials in ledger format, and join us with us in celebrating that we closed the year with a budget surplus (no small feat, given all the transition)!

Also note that all Christian Formation classes take a break so everyone can attend. Children can enjoy listening to a storyteller and working on special activities in Roper Hall.

See y’all Sunday!
