Transfiguration parishioners have been invited by the Faith Action Team of the Dallas Coalition for Hunger Solutions to join VNA Meals on Wheels for the 4th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Caring, addressing senior hunger in Dallas. On Monday, January 19 (MLK holiday), we will have an opportunity to deliver hot, nutritious meals to homebound seniors in the southern sector of Dallas, saving money that the VNA would be spending on paying drivers that day. We will be asked to go on routes in teams of two, and each route will include an average of 5 – 10 stops, taking no more than 2 hours.
