Dorothy-Wickenden-bookThe Women’s Book Group will meet in the Hospitality Room at 7:00 p.m. on November 6 to discuss Nothing Daunted: “The Unexpected Education of Two Society Girls in the West” by Dorothy Wickenden. In 1916 two Smith College graduates answered the call to teach in the wilds of Colorado, leaving their society lives in Upstate New York behind. One of the young women was the author’s grandmother, and the tale is part memoir, part history and part adventure. All women are welcomed.
