Fig Fest is a great tradition here at Transfiguration and two weeks ago we celebrated it again. Complete with a petting zoo, face painting, bounce houses, and the famous Episcopub, Fig Fest is a time of fellowship for our members young and old. Click here to see a great slideshow of the event and be sure and stay tuned in to the church calendar so you always know what great things are going on here at the Fig.

Fig Fest is always a special event for my family as it was the very first non church service that Chris and I attended as new members. We signed up to help out with the Episcopub (side note, did you notice the amazing new sign this year?) and I loved looking out over the lawn and seeing such a wonderful community of people enjoying their time together. I remember thinking that I liked this place and that I wanted it to be a priority in our lives. 7 years later and here I am still gushing about this church and still in awe of the stories I hear and people I meet. Thank you to all the volunteers and staff that make this event such a success. Thanks to Ellen Dingwall, to the EMF crew for cooking yummy BBQ, to neXtgen, and all the face painters, bingo callers and fortune tellers that come together to make Fig Fest happen. And we couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather this year, so thanks be to God for that too!
